The last time I wrote about a new build is nearly a year ago about build 39. Today I just wanted to let everybody know that I released build 47. We generally have a Google Groups page where releases are listed, but unfortunately it’s broken. Some weird Google problems concerning the revisions of that page going on there, and it declines to save any edits.
So what has happened since build 39? Mainly only little tweaks, like the preselection of the root node when opening a map, the map title showing up in the browser title and such things. Besides that of course bug fixes whenever we found one, and some updates to ensure browser compatibility e.g. with IE8. So nothing special, just maintenance.

mind42 is a brilliant tool.
The important thing that Mind42 does is that it removes the barrier-to-trial that other mindmapping software present - either a purchase or installation of Java like Freemind does.
I am hardly arguing against Freemind - i love it - but very few corporate customers use mind maps at all - and they are the people who need it the most - cluttered schedules, criss-crossing tasks, multiple possibilties - things which cannot be nicely shown in rows and columns of text
Hence I think Mind42 best advertises the mind map concept to people who dont know about it.
This is something the desktop apps like Freemind cannot do in 60 seconds from concept to working map!
The quality of the app is excellent and it has a free export to Freemind format.
Hence it is a risk-free serviceto advertise mindmaps.
I hope more corporate bosses start using mindmaps.
I have not used a smartphone to access mind42.com, but if it works, that route will help a lot of people in the corporate world get their plans sorted out in a neatly structured way.
Thanks for a great tool!!
