About Build#16 from August 14th

A new build for a new month. This builds changelog features:

  • New visual style for the menu popups
  • Enhanced inline editor
  • IE performance enhancement
  • Enhanced linking (new: Email addresses and other mind maps)
  • Some bug fixes

Hopefully you’ll find the changes usefull ;)

Something else: Rich McIver pointed me to an article called No More Hard Drive! 100 Free Software Apps to Go Online-Only. Many useful browser applications are listed there, and we are honored that mind42 is one of them.

  1. I can’t find feed back. so I write comment this blog.
    mind42 have CJK bug in filenames.
    Any node is no ploblems. and I can enter japanese font.
    But If I wrote japanese font in Center(Main) node,It happen error when save file.

    Can you understand? Sorry I don’t use english.

    Concerning the CJK bug with the root/main node: this should have been fixed with the current release (online since August 14th) as we’ve fixed that in our devel version. Unfortunately the fix which worked for the devel version didn’t do so on the real server - so we will have to find a new fix which hopefully will available for the next build.

  3. Some more feedback. I published a mindmap to my blog, a very small mindmap, but still it took a lot of time to load. Truly, it took so long that I finally removed the post. The blog sort of froze, while the mindmap was loading… and I could do nothing in the meantime.

    Did you know of this problem?

  4. Yeah this is a known problem. We hope that this will be better in the future, when we’ll change to Dojo 0.9 and create an optimized version of the mindmap viewer. We also plan to provide an image based integration.

    We really know that this is a problem - we even removed the mindmap viewer from our own mind42.com start page as a consequence because of the freeze :)
